Crawfish Cornbread Dressing






Crawfish cornbread dressing is a great dish that adds a great cajun flavor to any holidya celebration. The dish is actually great for any occassion, but our family always looks forward to eating it at Thanksgiving and Christmas. If you love cornbread dressingthis recipe is a must. The original cornbread dressing does not have enough spice or flavour, but the crawfish adds just the righ mixture. Below is our family recipe that has been enjoyed for years:

Recipe



Ingredients

3 cups cornbread

2 cups chicken stock

1 onion chopped

1 bell pepper chopped

2 stalks celery chopped

1 1/2 tsp. paprika

1/2 dry mustard

1/2 tsp. thyme

1/2 lb. Louisiana peeled crawfish

4 tbs. butter

Salt

Pepper

Cayenne to taste





Directions

1. Melt butter

2. Cook onions, bell pepper, celery- saute' all together

3. Add chicken stock- bring to a boil

4. Add crawfish-cook for 15 minutes

5. Add cornbread- mix thoroughly

6. put in large pan-Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
